RP600

Wireless terminal certification level supports 5G FR2 OTA test system

Product Description

GTS RP600 phased-array compact antenna test range (CATR) system is an antenna and OTA performance testing platform designed for mmwave phase-array antennas and related products. This system features rapid testing, a small footprint, quick delivery and an open interface while ensuring high precision. In RP600, the scanning range covers the entire sphere of the DUT while the DUT is placed vertically. If the DUT has to be placed horizontally or the cable tangling is a concern, RP600 can be selected whose scanning range mainly covers the upper hemisphere.

Phase Centered Feeds

Compared to traditional corrugated horn feeds, GTS’s CATR horn feeds exhibit excellent wide-angle cross-polarization performance, with phase center deviations on the E-plane and H-plane being less than 5° , and VSWR less than 1.5. In the whole system simulation, the cross-polarization testing accuracy has improved nearly three fold,

and the phase testing accuracy has increased by approximately 20%.

Low Edge Scattering Reflector

Compared to conventional serrated or rolled-edge reflectors, the new absorber surrounding-edge reflectors effectively reduce electromagnetic wave scattering caused

by pure metal edges, thereby weakening the interference of scattered waves in the quiet zone and improving phase and amplitude uniformity. The measured quiet zone performance surpasses international standards, with a total phase variation of less than 8° . Furthermore, the new surrounded-edge reflector can create a larger quiet zone

with a smaller metal reflector, reducing reflector size and weight.

Low-scattering high-precision Positioner

GTS has expertise in precision electromechanical technology, combined with full-wave system simulation, self-developed absorbing materials, and microsecond-level continuous triggering technology. This combination ensures system mechanical precision while reducing positioner interference to the test zone, The accumulated error of bidirectional tests is zero, doubling the testing efficiency. The dimensions, precision, range of motor travel and load bearing of the positioner are all customisable.

EPP High Performance Absorbers

The EPP absorbing material is developed, manufactured and tested by GTS. It uses environmentally friendly and durable EPP(Expanded Polypropylene) as base

material. Through full-wave simulation and optimization design, it ensures the overall absorbing performance of the absorbers. The absorption rate testing technology

with ultra-wideband, multi-angle incidence guarantees the excellent quality of each piece of absorber. Its flame resistance meets UL94 HF-1 standards, with internationally leading absorption performance. The EPP absorber is dust-free, and moisture-free, it applies to various environments, such as outdoors, clean room, PIM chamber, OTA chamber, etc.

Thermal Testing Module

RP600 series can be equipped with a thermal-insulation wave-transparent ball mask, enabling high-low temperature shock and cyclic testing from -10~55 ℃. The ball mask is compatible with existing positioners, requiring minimal system upgrades. It can be easily installed and removed without affecting the original testing functionality.
